In the News: Veggies Give Your Brain a Boost
Eat your veggies - they're good for you! Turns out, once again, mom was right. A new long-term study shows that a diet high in vegetables helps to boost memory, and may even help prevent Alzheimer's as we age. While fruit has lots of great health benefits, researchers found that it was veggies, particularly dark green veggies such as spinach, kale and other green leafy vegetables, that helped to keep study participants quick-witted and thinking on their feet. And let's face it - who among us couldn't use a little boost when it comes to our memory and brainpower? Remember to eat a rainbow of colors to get a variety of nutrients.
